Tractebel welcomes new CEO
Tractebel announces that Pierre Devillers has stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective September 15, 2026.
Tractebel is pleased to announce the appointment of Pierre DEVILLERS as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 15, 2026. Pierre succeeds Anne HARVENGT, who is embarking on a new mission within ENGIE as Group Enterprise Transformation Project Director.
Pierre brings 30 years of international experience within ENGIE, holding senior leadership roles across Europe and Latin America.
Pierre began his career within the ENGIE Group in 1996 and joined the management team of the Energy Trading and Portfolio Management division in 2001. In 2007, after leading its HR transformation program, he became HR Director for the Energy Benelux and Germany area. In 2010, he worked on the merger with International Power, a major British electricity generation company that was acquired by ENGIE and integrated into its global energy operations. In 2011 he moved to Latin America, where he held several positions including Chief Customer Solutions Officer, Country Manager for Chile and Colombia, and Chief Commercial & Business Development Officer. He returned to Europe in July 2021 and has since combined several roles, including Group Transformation Vice-President, Country Manager Netherlands, and, since 2024, Regional Vice President Europe and Latin America.
I am honoured to be taking on the role of CEO of Tractebel. Over the past 30 years within the ENGIE Group, I have come to greatly appreciate the value and expertise Tractebel brings to the energy transition. I am excited to now lead this remarkable company. Deeply committed to Tractebel's purpose of engineering a carbon-neutral future, I look forward to working closely with our teams, clients and partners to continue building on this strong foundation, with a clear focus on business growth and long-term value creation. Last but certainly not least, thank you to Anne Harvengt for her invaluable contributions. Under her leadership, Tractebel has successfully delivered on several crucial transformations, including a strategic refocus that positioned the company on a strong path for sustainable growth. Thanks to her tireless efforts, I’m taking the reins of a solid organization that is more prepared for the adventure of the century: driving the energy transition.
